Here Comes Everybody
Why should you read “Here Comes Everybody”, the latest book by Clay Shirky? It’s not about non-profits. It’s not about fundraising or marketing.
It is probably the best explanation of why the internet is changing how everybody connects – and is essential reading for anyone interested in social change in the internet age.
A good intro to Clay’s book can be found here, in video form: he’s speaking at the Berkman Center for Internet and Society, and he’ll blow your mind.

How very serendipitous! A friend just gave this book to me last week. Even more excited to read it now…
P.S. This blog is fab-U-lous! Yeah, i’m lurking it based on my facebook newsfeed, but seriously, awesome stuff. I am going to point Monsieur Lebrun this way…as the default “technology-man” for a couple of Hamilton non-profits, he will no doubt find the subject matter intriguing!

Thanks, Avril! If you and Mssr Lebrun prefer podcasts, there’s an interview with Clay Shirky on the CBC radio show Spark – you can download it or hear it online here: http://www.cbc.ca/spark/blog/2008/05/full_interview_clay_shirky_on.html
Hurray for technology men and fabulosity!
